This month’s case presentation is that of a young man that sustained a shoulder dislocation while experiencing a seizure. The violent muscle contractions that can occur during a seizure can result in a shoulder dislocation with considerable damage to the ligaments, muscles, and tendon of the shoulder, but can also damage the bones of the shoulder. In this case, the patient sustained bone injuries that we felt needed corrected in order to stabilize his shoulder and to help him restore good shoulder function.
